A region with high-potential talent

Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur attracts talent :  Almost 13,000 new residents per year, half of them are less than 40-year old. PACA is the third most attractive region regarding executives. They are already more than 200,000 living in the region.

Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur can rely on efficient, dependable and constructive partners. PACA is the second most productive region (gross domestic product generated by individual labor).

Dynamic and thriving domestic businesses

Provence-Alpes- Côte d’Azur is the second most business-creative region, with 68,000 companies set up in  2009 and 200 companies holding the “Young Innovative Company” status (3rd rank in French regions). This dynamism also finds expression in trademark, design and patent registrations.

Focus on education and research

PACA invests in research and higher education. The budget has trebled in 10 years. The region is home to 157,000 students, 26,500 R&D employees, among them 17,000 research workers and 300 federally-funded research labs with unique and world renowned projects such as ITER or ANTARES (Astronomy with a Neutrino Telescope and Abyss Environmental Research).

Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur also provides a diversity of disciplines in every domain thanks to three universities ( among them the largest campus in France , Aix- Marseille , with 70,000 students ), 14 engineering schools, 8 business schools and more than 30 public and private institutions dedicated to international syllabuses including the new International School of Manosque with over 400 students.
